February: Heart Health Month



Heart disease is the number one killer of adults in the United States. Since February was heart health month I thought I’d compile some tips to improve your heart health:

 

-Stop smoking. We are all aware of the health risk of smoking, so why do we keep doing it?

-Examine your diet. Make sure you are maintaining a healthy weight and eating the right foods.

-Reduce your stress level. You’d be surprised how much stress is attributed to heart problems.

-Consult your doctor. Your doctor can get you up to date on all the right things to do.

-Exercise. This is a no brainer. The heart is a muscle; make sure you treat it right.
