In a day when it seems like every movie is made from an old TV show, and every TV show is a spin-off of last year’s most watched shows, it is refreshing to see a little ingenuity. I’m not talking about in Hollywood, of course, as there hasn’t been anything ingenious there since the first Matrix, in my humble opinion. I’m talking about on the Internet. Every once in a while you come across a site that you say, “Boy! That was a good idea!” I’m probably a little slower than most, especially seeing that the site is based within a few miles of my home in Utah County, Utah, but MapGasPrices.com just makes you smile and think, “Man, I wish I’d thought of that.”

I think a lot of those ideas are just waiting for people to do them. I’ve got several of my own tucked away for when I have some time to do them, and I hope someone doesn’t beat me to them.

I’m currently helping to get a site out that I hope will make people say, “Boy! That was a good idea! I wish I’d thought of that.”

I’d tell you how it works, but then it would just seem like a rerun, so you’ll just have to wait for the pilot.
