Avoid these triangle trades when link trading

At the beginning of this year I would occassionally get a triangle trade request. Well now I get numerous triangle trade requests every day. What is a triangle trade? Well in simple terms it is this: Site A of a webmaster links to your site B and your site B links back to the webmaster’s site C.

Triangle Trade
A >> B
C < < B

Well everyone doing link trading knows that one way links are more powerful so what could be wrong with an innocent triangle trade? Do yourself a favor and avoid triangle trades where the link trader puts your link in a trash directory site and has you link to their ligitimate site. The reason you should avoid these is because these directory sites are just made to throw links in, they usually never have any meaningful content, and they don't really have any inbound links. So what will happen is that instead of having your link in a site that is increasing in weight through link popularity you have a site that continues to fill with outbound links. Triangle trades can be a valuable way to improve your rankings, but don't get taken advantage by crap directory sites.

On an excellent side note, Lavaball is building a link management system that will allow link traders to do reciprocal, triangle, indirect, and one way links. Visit Lavadirectory.com for one way link exchanges.
