Another major Google update is underway. It began last week, but has picked up steam in the last couple days. I currently manage about 15 sites in different industries that are going after different keyword phrases. Here are a few of the things that I am seeing in this update. It looks like theme relevancy is again gaining more weight - no surprise there. Currently I am also seeing a lot of the sites with either one way link campaigns, or a good number of one way links rising to the top. This, however, may be a temporary thing. But if it holds strong it looks like the weight of one way links are gaining even more weight in Google’s algorithm.

If one way links are gaining weight, Google is only going to fuel the text link buying fire. However, there are alternatives. Lavaball is developing a link management system that will allow traders to make reciprocal, triangle or 3 way trades and indirect or true one way link trades. Ahh just what the webmasters are going to need.
