SEO Forums Not Much Help
I have been frequenting SEO forums lately with the hopes of gaining some insights into Jagger and other SEO happenings. I feel sorry for SEO novices, because they are not going to get straight forward answers in SEO forums. SEO forums, in my opinion, are full of SEO myths and heresay. There is a great deal of hype and few solid answers.
If you want to know about Title and Meta tags you’ll get good advice. This knowledge is commonly shared amongst SEOs. But if you want answers on link building and trading you’re going to get a slew of different opinions. Some of the advice given is questionable to say the least.
Ok, so what is a SEO novice to do? I would recommend taking html and site optimization tips and advice from SEO companies with proven results. For link building and trading I would recommend doing the following:
- Always trade links with theme relevant sites. If the site isn’t relevant, having your link on a relevant page will do.
- If you get one way links try and get them from theme relevant sites.
- If you build a link directory on your site, build it in categories so that link parnters will have a theme relevant page to put their link on.
- Submit your site to respectable link directories.
- Submit theme relevant articles to article submissions sites.
Ok, that’s some clear cut advice. Of course, the best way to know if these things really do work is to try them yourself.
