Over a month ago this site (http://www.lavaball.com) completely dropped out of MSN’s index for no apparent reason. And when I mean out of the index, I mean you couldn’t even get one single page to show up, even for a company name search. Anyway, I didn’t think much about it and figured we’d be back in the index in couple days. I’m used to seeing strange things happen on MSN and the rankings as they make adjustments to their algorithm, but I got worried after a few weeks and nothing came back. Another thing that was strange was that I was getting spidered everyday by the MSN bot.
Well, after four weeks with no sign of reentering the index I filled out a MSN support form. The very next day I had a personalized response, from a real person that had looked into the problem. On that same day my site came back into the index! I was impressed.
MSN’s search may not have the following or the market share that Google and Yahoo have, but for customer support they are clearly leaps and bounds beyond their competition. Thank you Arlene from MSN Search Technical Support!
