Illnesses seem to usually come right after a very stressful time. By illnesses I am referring to colds and other viruses. There is a reason that you usually get sick right after finals week or right after your busiest month at work. Our immune systems fight extremely hard to keep us healthy while we are under a lot of stress (usually because we do not get enough sleep, eat poorly, and do not exercise enough), but when we no longer have that stress our immune system is so warn out just enough that a virus or bacteria can develop. This is why it is important to try and be healthy even when you are stressed, and also to make sure you take some preventative measures like Vitamin C after really stressful times.
