Healthcare is changing in the United States. The new President has already vowed to reform it. There is one change that I believe will make an incredible difference in the quality of healthcare. President Obama has put forth significant funds to encourage doctors and hospitals to switch from paper records to electronic records. This will eliminate so many mistakes in the medical industry. For instance, if a patient comes in and complains about pain and wants pain pills, that hospital can immediately check his record with every other hospital and doctors office. They will know if he has a history of requesting these types of pills, or it is a one-time thing. Also, there will be fewer misdiagnoses.
