When you are choosing a school to attend, there is value in a well-known school like Florida, UCLA, or Boston College. Although they may not be the best academically almost everyone has heard of them, and so employers will know that your school is legitimate. If you go to a small, private school, you may be smarter but most likely anyone you interview with will have no idea where you came from. Obviously there are schools like Harvard and Yale that have name value and are academically proud, but everyone can’t go to those schools. It is tough to say which is better when it comes to name value versus quality of education.
