Finding a school that specializes in your desired field of study is important, as is one that fits your price range, but one metric only athletes really look for is how good this school is at sports, but I think everyone should look at it. When your school is excellent at sports, students leave with a sense of pride in their school, and they are more apt to relate with students who attended the same school. Sports at a school can bond students in the same way that a fraternity or sorority can. A great sports team gives the student body something to cheer for together, and most likely more students will enjoy their time at school if they care about their sports teams.
