Using a Variety of Food to Keep You Healthy



When you are trying to eat healthy, it is crucial to eat a variety of foods. You cannot survive on protein only, or fish only. Some people try these diets where all they eat is smoked salmon and Go Lean! Kashi cereal. You may become skinny if that is all you are eating, but you will not be healthy. There is some truth behind the food pyramid; you need servings of every type of food for optimal health. If your goal is to be so skinny that it is unhealthy (and not attractive), then by all means eat only one type of food, but if you want to be a healthy person with a normal body, you have to eat a variety of meals.
