A job is clearly different from your career, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to find a great job that ties into your future career. For instance, I had a brother-in-law who wanted to go into medical equipment sales, but he needed a job to put him through college, so he worked at an apparel store as a suit salesman. Even though he could have made more money as a bank teller, he chose the sales job because it related to his future. You can use your job to get great experience for your future career. Just figure what you want to do, and find out what it’s about three steps further down on the corporate ladder.
