Turning a hobby into a career seems like a good idea on the surface. What could possibly be more fun than working with what you love? However, you need to carefully consider you life goals. Usually people don’t pursue their hobbies as careers because there isn’t a lot of money in model airplane building or Halo (the X-Box game). Also, when something is forced upon you, it can quickly become a burden and not fun at all. You may end up hating what you once loved. When a hobby is just for fun, it is fun, but when a hobby becomes work, it is work. Keeping your work life and hobbies separate is not a bad idea.
