Are physical phone books, like the Yellow or White Pages, ever going to come back? Not in the near future. In fact, the last time I used a paper phone book was when I was at a hotel that didn’t have Internet access, and that was in 2000. No one uses a phone book when they could type whatever they are looking for into a search engine and get more up to date results with less effort. Phone books may be a thing of the past thanks to search engines. The only way they could come back is if they offered some sort of advantage that the Internet couldn’t, like coupons available only in the print, or exclusive phone numbers unavailable to people using the Internet.
