Firing your IT personnel is a scary thought. If there were one employee in your firm who could destroy everything you have striven for in the blink of an eye, it would be the IT guy. You never see them unless there is a problem, and so they may seem expendable, but just make sure to send them out the door semi-happy, otherwise I hope you know how to reformat hard drives, because in all of ten minutes they could destroy all your databases. It is amazing how dependent we are on IT personnel-fifteen, or even ten years ago, they did not have job security quite like they do today.
