There are hundreds of programming languages. It is impossible to know every single one; that would be like knowing everyone spoken language on earth. However, just like spoken languages, it is best to focus on two or three at the most. If you are mediocre at a bunch, you most likely won’t be able to find a great programming job, whereas if you are a master at one, there will always be a place for you at some firm. Choosing which language to become proficient in is something you will have to decide yourself, but whichever language you do pick, know it forwards and backwards.
