Sometimes websites get too complicated. The most successful website in my opinion is Google.com. There is nothing on their home page besides the search engine. It is so simple, but so nice at the same time. They could sell advertising space on their home page and make millions, but they understand how that would negatively affect their business model. Few websites understand this concept. Your home page should be easily navigated, with all the information upfront. Introduction videos can be entertaining, but sometimes they are way too long and take too much time to load. When you are designing your webpage, keep it simple.
