I was looking desperately for a while now trying to find the latest search engine optimization(SEO) strategies out there. But does anybody really know how it all works? I mean it is not likely that the search engine creators are going to tell us. If they were to then it would become useless with so many websites created the exact same way trying to manipulate the search engines in there favor. So what do you listen to when you do get some help? which ever gets you to the top and does not get you penalized by search bots.

We all have been told everything there is to know about SEO. Things like making your keywords stand out is said to work well but how much. Doing this alone will not have you racing to the top. I see people linking their keywords to websites like Wikipedia but that only helps them not you. This is one of the answers of why that site can usually be found on page one of most search phrases. Then there is the issue of keyword density. Some say ten percent or so of text should hold your keywords and some say more. Sure, you can not just type in your keywords one hundred times in your pages but how much is too much?

Then there are those SEO tips that say you should have your keywords in your url. This strategy can be successful to some websites but there are a bunch of pages that have been shown higher without the keyword present at all. So doing this does not make it that easy. There most be more to it than that.

The search bots still look at your meta tags title and descriptions. Or you can have the search bots figure out what to display. Frankly I choose the meta tags because my results are better. For those who do not then make sure you put what you want to be on page one on in the first paragraph of content to make it easy for the bots to know what your site is about.

How about all those sneaky schemes for SEO people use. You know like placing a page with tiny words packed with keywords or stuffing lots of keywords in the alt code in images. Those things only work for a specific time and then you get taken to like page one hundred or so. Take it from me, I would avoid any of those tricks.

The best way to go is using well written text with one way links from reliable sites are still the best way to go. Freshening up your pages from time to time will keep the bots coming back. One way links will tell them how admired your website is. But your backlinks should come from more than one source. Be sure to shake it up a bit with good backlinks from forums, review sites, videos, blogs, article directories and ect. There are more things you can do but those are two of the most important things.

Well I can go on forever about what people tell me about SEO but what is the point. You need to find what works and when it does then repeat the process for all of your websites and all inner pages you have. With a little effort you could end up on page one in no time.
